Beer Delivery Drivers Save Suicidal Man with a 12-Pack of Beer

Beer isn't really known for saving one's life, but this is definitely an exception!

Jason Gabel and Kwame Anderson both work near St. Paul, Minnesota where they were making beer deliveries when they saw a man holding a fence on a highway overpass. Not knowing the full context of the situation, they quickly realized that this man was looking to end his life.

After calling the police, they got out of their delivery truck and started talking to the man to step back on to the road and away from the fence. The man insisted that they (the drivers), didn't care about him. When asked, Anderson replied, “If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t be here right now,”

They knew that they had to buy some time with the suicidal man, so to sweeten the deal, they offered the man a 12-pack of Coors Light beer. It was a deal that the suicidal man could not refuse. He walked back to the road and paramedics quickly got him into the ambulance and got him evaluated at the hospital.
